How You're Made

Terms of Service

Last updated: September 24, 2026

The agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and How You're Made LLC, a Missouri limited liability company. They cover this platform and the messages we send you as part of it. By enrolling or using the platform you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

Who can use it

You must be eighteen or older. At enrollment you assert your date of birth and we rely on that.

What this is

A guided journey of self-discovery. You take an assessment, write and speak reflections, receive AI-assisted observations a few at a time, reply with feedback, and finish with a written guide.

What this is not

This is not counseling, therapy, medical care, or a crisis service, and it is not a substitute for any of those. Nothing we send you is a diagnosis or treatment advice. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, contact the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988, or call 911.

AI-assisted content

Your observations and guide are produced with the help of an AI model working from your own answers inside a process designed by a human author. AI can be wrong. Treat everything we send as material for your reflection, not as a verdict.

Your content

Everything you give us stays yours. You give us a license to use your content only to operate the service for you, and that license ends when your content is erased. We do not use your content to market to others and we do not publish it.

Acceptable use

Please use the platform as intended. Do not harass anyone, submit another person's content without their permission, probe or overload our systems, copy or resell our materials, or break any law. If you use the platform in a way that harms others or the service, we may suspend or end your access.

Our content

The How You're Made name, the assessment, the process, the prompts, and the written materials we create belong to How You're Made LLC and are protected by copyright and trademark law. Your personal guide is yours to keep and share as you like. The system that produced it is not licensed to you for reuse.

Word of the Week is a free weekly email: one word inspired by the life and work of one person, read in David's voice, ending in one question, built to be forwarded. You may forward it and share it freely with credit and a link to howyouremade.com; please do not republish it as your own. Every email carries a one-click way to stop and the postal address required by CAN-SPAM: How You're Made LLC, PO Box 160, Ava, MO 65608.

What it costs

Pricing and payment. The price is shown on the checkout page before you pay, and your receipt confirms what you paid. Payments are handled by our payment processor. Our refund promise appears at checkout and in your receipt, and it applies to every purchase.

Refunds

Our refund promise

We want this to be worth your time. If it isn't, we'll give your money back.

Once you've started. Within 30 days of beginning the first session of a product you bought, write to us and we'll refund you in full. No questions asked, however far you've gone. Each product has its own 30 days, starting when you begin it. If you bought several together as one package, your 30 days start when you begin its first session.

If you haven't started yet. You can get a full refund for up to 120 days after you buy.

What a refund ends. A refund ends your access to that product right away, including any session you're in the middle of.

One refund per person per product. That keeps this generous for everyone.

After that. Past these windows, you're still welcome to write to us. We'll see what we can work out.

How. Email help@howyouremade.com from the address you bought with. Refunds go back to your original payment method; most banks show them within 5 to 10 business days.

You can leave at any time by asking us to erase your account. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we discontinue the service, and we will tell you if we do.

Disclaimers

We provide the platform as it is, with care but without guarantees. We do not promise that the service will always be available or free of errors, or that any observation or guide will be accurate, complete, or right for you. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, How You're Made LLC and its members, author, and providers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or lost data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred dollars if you paid nothing. Some states do not allow certain limits, so some of this may not apply to you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to its conflict of law rules, and any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Missouri.

Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, we update the date at the top, and for meaningful changes we tell you by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
